Description
Built in 1996, Foursquare distillery is owned by a four generation strong rum merchant family. A rum producer after our own hearts, the production process at Foursquare is grounded in authenticity with no additional flavourings being added. Elegant, approachable and thanks to mellow maturity and deft balance - this is an absolute winner.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Walnuts, earthy vanilla and toffee apple leads. Rich, syrupy dried fruits emerge though a blend of tobacco and coffee. Subtle molasses rises through dense oak in the backdrop.
Palate: A nutty opening carries rich molasses and baking spices among soft fruity notes of apricot and honeyed sultanas. Buttery vanilla, dark chocolate and cigar box blend with coffee and toasted brown sugar underneath
Finish: Fiery cinnamon fizzes through creamy vanilla and dry oak.
