Description
A rare and collectable expression from the Versailles Single Wooden Pot Still's brief stay at the Enmore Estate which has long since closed. After 27 years of ageing in oak casks, this batch carries a characterful distillate taste. A tropical haven of juicy cooked fruits like pineapple, papaya and banana with chocolatey undertones.
Tasting notes
Nose: Loads of cooked tropical fruit, especially pineapple and papaya. Ripe banana adds depth, and there’s a milk chocolate influence along with the oak.
Palate: Bakewell Tart and banoffee pie, with cooked pineapple and oodles of oak influence. Milk chocolate builds on the sweetness, and there’s a whisper of menthol in there, too.
Finish: Medium length and intriguing, with loads more of that pineapple.
